This 2 day course takes you through the preparation, design, installation, and maintenance of GoldMine and implementing GoldSync.

Audience

This course is designed for advanced end users. This course assumes that you are familiar with the GoldMine fundamentals and advanced features and that you are familiar with the Microsoft® Windows" operating system and can manipulate windows and launch and close applications.

In This Course

The course material created for GoldMine Advanced System Management training is designed as a training and reference manual including a discussion of software functionality. The discussion is followed by step-by-step procedures. Lessons typically are presented in a logical, task-oriented sequence which more closely replicates business practices.

The GoldMine Advanced System Management course includes the following chapters:

Chapter 1: Upgrade to GoldMine Corporate Edition

 

Chapter 4: Import, Export and Copy Data

Learn how to plan for the transition from GoldMine Business Contact Manager, install SQL Server and GoldMine Corporate Edition and configure the database.

 

Import data from existing data sources. You may have a need to export data and copy data between Contact Sets.

Chapter 2: Server Agents

 

Chapter 5: iGoldMine

Set five GoldMine processes to run in the background. GoldMine can send queued e-mails, print queued documents, run Automated Processes, synchronize with Outlook, and run GoldSync.

 

iGoldMine enhances the ability to access up-to-the-minute information at any time in virtually any place.

Chapter 3: Work with the GoldMine Database

 

Chapter 6: Maintain GoldMine

Discussion of the database structure for both dBASE and SQL Server installations, how to configure BDE, and set up databases and undocked users.

 

Regular, routine maintenance of both dBASE and SQL Server databases is vital to the health of your GoldMine database. Maintain GoldMine continues the maintenance discussion begun in the Prepararation checklist.

   

Chapter 7: GoldSync

   

Define GoldSync, learn about planning for the implementation, introduction to the GoldSync Administration Center, and use the GoldSync Synchronization Wizard.
